Broadbeach cars have an unusual damage profile. Much of the suburb parks underground, under Oasis, Pacific Fair, the Star and every residential tower along Old Burleigh Road, which means less UV than the Gold Coast average but far more contact damage. Tight ramps, narrow bays, concrete pillars and heavy foot traffic produce door edge chips, bumper corner scuffs and the fine swirls that come from people brushing past with bags.
The other factor is what happens when the car comes out. Surface parking along the Esplanade and around Kurrawa sits fully exposed with salt air rolling in off the beach, so a car goes from a cool basement to six hours of direct summer sun with nothing in between.
Coating gives you a harder surface that resists light marring and stops salt bonding. Ceramic tint handles the heat when the car is out in it.
Carbon XP at $395, Ceramic IR at $595 and Evolve IR Ceramic at $895. For a basement car the strongest arguments are privacy and UV, both of which apply regardless of how dark you go.

Broadbeach is the suburb where we see the least sun damage and the most contact damage. Cars living under Oasis, Pacific Fair, the Star or a residential tower are shielded from UV for most of the week, so the paint often looks young. Then you get to the edges and corners and find the story. Door edge chips from being opened against a pillar, scuffs on bumper corners from tight ramps, and transfer marks where another car paint has rubbed onto yours in a narrow bay.
The fine swirling is the other constant. Basements are dusty environments, and a dusty car that gets wiped down rather than properly washed picks up scratching very quickly. Under the fluorescent strips of a car park you never see it. Park the same car on the Esplanade in full sun and it looks like a spider web.
Then there is the thermal swing. A car goes from a cool basement to six hours on an exposed surface car park at Kurrawa with salt air rolling in off the beach, and back again. That cycle is harder on trim and seals than steady conditions would be.

Heat rejection matters less when the car is underground, but it is rarely underground all day. The stronger argument for Broadbeach residents is privacy and glare. A car parked in a public basement with visible contents is a target, and tint makes the interior far harder to see into. UV protection still applies every time the car is out.
Light scuffs where another car or a bag has transferred paint onto yours usually polish out completely. Deeper marks that have gone through the clear coat need panel repair, which is outside what we do. We will tell you honestly which category yours falls into before you commit to anything. Correction starts at $100 for the first hour.
This is one of the most common jobs we do. Automatic washes and poor hand wash technique drag grit across the paint and leave fine circular scratches that show up badly under Gold Coast sun. Machine correction removes them, and a ceramic coating gives you a harder surface that resists them coming back.
Yes. Salt carries well inland on the prevailing north easterly, and canal front properties add humidity on top. It is less aggressive than beachfront Currumbin or Mermaid, but enough that unprotected paint shows water spotting and dulling within a couple of years.
For a low kilometre garaged car the XPEL Fusion Plus V2 at $995 with an eight year warranty is often plenty. If you want the best gloss and chemical resistance regardless of use, the Kovalent Borophene at $1,395 over nine years is our most popular, and the Kraken Graphene Titanium at $1,795 over ten years sits at the top.
The workshop is on Kendor Street, Arundel, around twenty minutes via the Gold Coast Highway or the Smith Street Motorway. We book by appointment so the car goes straight into a bay rather than waiting.
If the mark is paint or rubber transferred onto your clear coat, it almost always comes out. If you can catch a fingernail in it, it has gone through the clear coat and needs a panel repair, which is not something we do. We will look at the car and tell you honestly which category yours is in before you commit to anything.

If the car genuinely never sees daylight, we will say tint is a lower priority for you than coating. We would rather that than sell you something you do not need.
The warranties are eight, nine and ten years depending on which of the three coatings you choose. Coastal exposure does not shorten that, but it does mean maintenance washing matters more. Salt that is left on any surface for months will eventually work on it. Rinsing regularly is what lets the coating deliver its full term.
