Motorcycle Ceramic Coating

Tanks, guards and fairings are small panels that cop a hard life. Bikes live outside more than cars do, they get washed more often, and bug splatter and fuel spills sit on the clear coat until someone deals with them. A ceramic coating makes all of that release far more easily and keeps the depth in the paint.

We coat the painted panels, and we can do the frame, wheels and exhaust shielding at the same time. Bike pricing is set separately from cars, because a tank, guards and fairings add up to a fraction of the panel area on even a small hatchback. You are not paying for surface area you do not have.

What's Included On A Bike?

Every package includes the full preparation. A decontamination wash, iron removal and clay bar, then a final prep wipe to get the paint completely oil free. That is what lets the coating bond properly and last the full term of its warranty.

Why Coat A Bike

What Ceramic Coating Does For A Motorcycle

Bug Splatter Comes Off Easily

Bugs arrive at speed and land on the tank and headlight surround. On a coated panel they release instead of etching in.

Fuel Spills Stop Marking

A dribble down the tank at the pump wipes off rather than sitting on the clear coat until someone deals with it.

Keeps The Depth In The Paint

Small panels show every flaw. A hard, slick surface holds the gloss and the depth a bike is bought for.

Less Washing, Less Swirling

Bikes get washed more often than cars, and every wash is a chance to swirl. A coating cuts both.

Covers More Than The Paint

Frame, wheels and exhaust shielding can go on at the same time, so brake dust and road grime release too.

Motorcycle Coating Questions, Answered

The things riders ask us most before booking.

How much does ceramic coating cost for a motorcycle?

From $395. XPEL Fusion Plus V2 is $395 with an eight year warranty, Kovalent Borophene is $545 over nine years and Kraken Graphene Titanium is $725 over ten. All three include the full preparation work at no extra charge.

Because there is far less painted surface area. A tank, guards and fairings add up to a fraction of the panel area on even a small hatchback, so the coating stage takes less time and uses less product. The preparation is just as thorough, it simply covers less ground.

Most riders choose Borophene at $545 because it sits in the middle on price while giving a harder, glossier finish and better water repulsion. If the bike lives outside rather than in a garage, we recommend Kraken at $725 for its UV and scratch resistance. There is no wrong choice among the three.

Yes. We coat painted panels as standard and can do the frame, wheels and exhaust shielding in the same visit. Wheels are worth doing on a bike because brake dust and chain lube are far easier to remove from a coated surface than a bare one.

No, and we would rather say so plainly. A ceramic coating is a chemical barrier measured in microns and it will not absorb an impact. Chip resistance needs a physical film, which is not a service we offer. What a coating does is protect against the chemical and UV damage that dulls the paint around those chips.

Yes, and it should be done first. Correction levels out the fine scratching before anything is sealed over it, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath for its full term. Correction starts at $100 for the first hour and we quote on what the bike actually needs.

Coating is not a same day job. Preparation, correction if it is needed, application and cure time each need their own window, so we ask for a few days lead time when booking and will give you an exact timeframe for your bike. If you are local we will give you a lift to work or home.

A cured coating handles occasional fuel contact far better than bare clear coat does, which is exactly why we recommend it for tanks. Wipe a spill off when you notice it rather than leaving it to sit, and the coating does its job. It is worth being more careful during the initial cure period, and we will tell you how long that is for the product you choose.

Not differently so much as more easily. A plain wash with a clean mitt and two buckets is all a coated bike needs, and most of what used to require scrubbing will now release with water. Avoid harsh solvents and aggressive polishes, since those are what shorten a coating life.
